Download TranSend from the Google Play Store on your Android device. Search for "TranSend" or tap the download button on the homepage. iOS and desktop versions are coming soon.
No account is needed for local WiFi transfers. For cloud transfers, you can use TranSend as a guest with basic functionality. Creating a free account unlocks cloud storage tracking, download notifications, and transfer history.
The recipient does not need to install TranSend. They can visit transendapp.org/receive and enter the code, or enter it directly in the app's Cloud → Receive tab.
Transfer codes follow the format WORD-1234 (e.g. EMBER-4729). They are case-insensitive. Codes expire when the transfer expires.
Free users can set transfers to expire between 1 hour and 12 hours. Pro users can set expiry up to 30 days. You choose the expiry when uploading.
When enabled, the file is permanently deleted from our servers the moment it is first downloaded. The transfer code becomes invalid immediately after. This is ideal for sensitive documents you only want one person to access.
You can add a password to any transfer. The recipient will be prompted to enter it before downloading. Share the password separately from the transfer code for best security.
Set a future date and time for the transfer to become available. The code is generated immediately but the file is locked until the scheduled time. Recipients viewing the code early will see a countdown and can set a reminder notification.
Both devices must be on the same WiFi network with TranSend installed. The app automatically discovers nearby devices. Select your files, tap the target device, and send. No internet connection required.
Select multiple nearby devices to send files to all of them simultaneously.
Local transfers have no file size limit — you're limited only by your device storage and network speed.
Go to Settings → Account → Change Password. A reset link will be sent to your registered email address.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, all transfer history, and all files stored in the cloud. This action cannot be undone.
Pro users can enable end-to-end encryption in Settings → Transfer. When enabled, files are encrypted on your device before upload. We cannot read the contents of E2E-encrypted transfers.
When someone downloads your file, you'll receive a push notification. If the recipient is using the TranSend app, the notification will include their approximate device name.
Set quiet hours in Settings → Notifications to silence all notifications during specified times.
Free plan: Limited cloud storage, limited file size per upload, transfers expire in up to 12 hours.
Pro plan: Expanded storage, larger file size limit, up to 30-day expiry, E2E encryption, and more concurrent transfers.
Your current storage usage is shown in Settings → Account.
