No. Recipients visit transendapp.org/receive in any browser and enter the transfer code. No account, no app, no installation required on their end.
No account is needed for guest transfers. Download the app and start sending. A Google account is only required for Pro features (password protection, scheduled delivery, 100 GB active cloud space).
When burn-after-download is active and someone downloads your file, it is permanently deleted from our servers. The transfer code becomes invalid — no second download is possible. This happens automatically on Guest transfers. Pro users can configure or disable it.
Guest cloud transfers expire after up to 3 hours. Pro transfers can be set to last up to 30 days. The expiry is chosen by the sender when uploading. Local Wi-Fi transfers don't use expiry — they work directly between devices.
This issue was fixed in a recent update. Make sure you're on the latest version of TranSend from the Google Play Store. If you're still experiencing this, please email us at [email protected].
For Android in-app subscriptions: Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → TranSend → Cancel subscription. You keep Pro access for the remainder of your current billing period. For website checkout purchases, contact us at [email protected].
You can delete your account at transendapp.org/delete-account or request deletion of your data at transendapp.org/delete-data. Account deletion is immediate and permanent.
Transfer codes expire after the set duration, or become invalid once the file is downloaded (burn-after-download). If your code shows as invalid, the file may have already been downloaded or the transfer has expired. Contact [email protected] if you think this is an error.
Yes. Local Wi-Fi transfer is available to all users — guest and Pro. It works directly between devices on the same network with no cloud involvement. No Pro upgrade is needed for local transfer, but practical transfer limits may depend on your device, storage, and network.
